High Point Highlights

Back in April, we made our yearly pilgrimage to High Point Market – a HUGE home furnishings trade show, featuring more than 2,000 companies in almost 12 million square feet of showroom space. At High Point, we get to find out what’s new with some of our favorite companies, discover new makers, connect with our industry peers, and see tons of incredible furniture!

Keep scrolling to see some of our favorites from this year’s show.

Comfort Air recliners from American Leather in a rainbow of colors -- red, orange, yellow and green

American Leather always puts together a gorgeous showroom experience for High Point – honestly, their booth might be larger than our entire store. This year, we loved seeing this spectrum of Comfort Air recliners – just stunning! Also, we got an early peek at the newly-redesigned mechanism they are rolling out for their Comfort Sleeper line – a great design, made even better. Those will come to the store later this year.

Store owner Lao Triffin sits on a contemporary white Italian sectional

For fans of cutting-edge European style, High Point has an entire building dedicated to Italian designers! We always wander through for some design inspiration.

A bright blue task chair with a patchwork-patterned seat back

How about the incredible blue patchwork design on this task chair or the mesh cut-out design of the white chairs? Office furniture doesn’t always have to be basic black, friends.

We were excited to see the new designs that BDI is adding to their storage furniture lineup. BDI has always offered top-notch functionality, and these new pieces are seriously upping their form factor! We love the sculpted doors and elegant brass bases – look for these to arrive in early 2024. (And for a similar vibe, check out their Tanami Credenza, in our showroom right now.)

An ash bed with attached nightstand from Copeland Furniture

We got to sneak a peek at some forthcoming designs from Copeland Furniture – a new bedroom line featuring crisp cutouts and joinery details, plus an intriguing foray into upholstered furniture! As usual, everything at Copeland was perfectly crafted, with their unique, contemporary take on classic midcentury styles.

Two men display a stack of woven, Persian-style rugs

We loved spending some time with Momeni, picking out a new selection of one-of-a-kind woven rugs for the store. Thanks for flipping through the stacks with us, guys!

Modern illuminated tables made from onyx and a live edge console table with a sculptural base in the form of four figures, both from Phillips Collection

Phillips Collection had a jaw-dropping display of the modern, sculptural pieces they are known for. We drooled over the onyx collection, although it isn’t quite the right fit for our store. In the end, we decided to bring this unique, sculptural base console table to our showroom – look for it on the floor this summer.

A tan leather sofa with wood accents and matching chair from Palliser

As you might expect, we fell hard for the wood accents on this new seating style from Palliser. We’ll have this one in our showroom later this year. Stay tuned to see the upholstery we chose – it’s a beauty.

Motorized sofas and recliners in leather from Fjords

Need a quick boost? Okay, so we won’t have this exact piece in the store, but we are going to start carrying motorized recliners and sofas from Norwegian maker Fjords. We’ll have those later on this year.

A contemporary sectional and lounge chairs in blue, aqua, yellow and purple

A living room set for the color lovers!

A series of colorful tables shaped like rabbits, a lamp in the shape of a gorilla and a life-sized alpaca stuffed animal

A colony of rabbits, one illuminating gorilla, and a life-sized alpaca! Along with furniture, the animal kingdom was well-represented at High Point this year. 😊
