Younger Furniture is based in Thomasville, North Carolina. Just like our store, they are in their second generation of ownership – Mike Younger founded the company in 1989, and now his daughter Meredith carries on the family tradition. Younger’s vision is to remain a stable, positive force in their community and in the lives of the people who work with them. It’s a nice way to do business, don’t you think?
Younger is also committed to using locally sourced materials whenever possible. From the wood for the frames to the springs, upholstery foam and legs, every element that goes into their furniture is produced within 85 miles of the factory. They source top quality fabrics and leathers from around the globe – over 300 choices at last count!

With 1:1, choose a size for your sofa, chair or sectional, then make it your own! Pick the arm style you like best – wide or narrow, tapered or straight, sloped or square. Configure the number of seat and back cushions and choose your preferred fill. Add designer details like welts or tufting. Finally, select a leg finish and your favorite fabric or leather. Once all the decisions are made, your piece is hand-built by one craftsman, one at a time, just for you.
You might think that building furniture to order adds up to a lot of time and expense, but that’s just not true. Younger Furniture is very fairly priced and offers great value. Building each piece at their North Carolina factory keeps shipping times short – or if you’re really in a rush, you can choose a Quick Ship option. (Quick Ship pieces are some of Younger’s most popular styles and configurations. They’re ready in a hurry, but still made to order – nothing is pre-made or gathering dust in a warehouse.)
