Regina Thomas has lived in Europe and Asia, where she was exposed to a myriad of art styles and traditions. Besides art, she has studied architecture, film and furniture design.
She specializes in collage and a mixture of mediums. Her work has a high degree of visual and tactile imagery, creating multi-layered paintings with a three-dimensional look. She uses watercolor, gouache, acrylic and collage. To find unique ephemera for her works, she searches city streets, flea markets and antiquarian bookstores.
Frank Serafino studied drawing and painting at Hammersmith College of Art in London England. Raised in Hamden, he recently retired from a career in architecture and construction. He has worked in pastels, but now devotes most of his time to painting landscapes and still life in oil.
Using a limited palette of about six colors plus black and white, he works in an alla prima style, which is Italian for “at once." Most paintings are completed in one session.
