1/1 when written below a print means that the print is one of a kind. It is not a multiple in an edition.  Typically neither Fortin nor Pagano work in editions. Though you will find threads of similarity between works you will never find two works exactly the same. Oi Fortin will be exhibiting monotypes. Liz Pagano will be showing monotypes, encaustic paintings and mixed media
constructions.

Both artists create by blending formal consideration with spontaneity. Inspired by nature their abstract works have an organic quality.

The title "1/1 (one over one) Exhibition" can also be interpreted by the way the artists work "one piece at a time". In this multi-tasking society, they are pleased to still be doing "one thing at a time."
